A voice shaped by experience
Daniel Getaneh Hatland grew up as an adoptee from Ethiopia to Nordhordland, Norway. His experiences with racism, exclusion, and the fight to belong became the driving force behind his work as a keynote speaker, author, and advisor.
Today, Daniel is one of Norway's most sought-after keynote speakers on diversity and inclusion. He has delivered over 100 keynotes for organisations across the private sector, sports, public sector, and education.
In 2024, he published the bestseller "The Fight for Belonging" (Kampen for tilhørighet), which has touched thousands of readers and put diversity on the agenda across Norway. In 2025, he was named "Inspirational Person of the Year" by Talerlisten.
